Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 2 medium frozen bananas
  • 1 cup frozen tropical fruit (mango, pineapple, kiwi, papaya, or create a medley)

Choose One Thickener

  • 1/3 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup canned coconut milk or cream
  • 1/2 an avocado

Choose One to Two Add-Ins

  • 1 serving vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds, flaxseed, or hemp hearts
  • 1/2 cup fresh spinach or kale
  • 1/4 rolled oats (also thickens and provides fiber/protein)

Choose a Flavor Booster

  • 1 lemon or lime freshly squeezed
  • 2 inch piece of fresh ginger (or 2 tsp ground powder)
  • 1-2 tsp turmeric powder + 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1-2 tsp cayenne powder
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil or mint

Instructions
 

  • Liquid First: Pour the coconut water and fresh lime juice into your blender.
  • Add Your Boosters: Toss in the thickener, add-ins, and flavor boosters.
  • The Frozen Layers: Add your frozen banana and tropical fruit on top.
  • Blend: Start on low speed to break up the frozen fruit, then ramp up to high for 60 seconds until completely smooth.
