Base Ingredients
- 1 cup coconut water
- 2 medium frozen bananas
- 1 cup frozen tropical fruit (mango, pineapple, kiwi, papaya, or create a medley)
Choose One Thickener
- 1/3 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup canned coconut milk or cream
- 1/2 an avocado
Choose One to Two Add-Ins
- 1 serving vanilla protein powder
- 1 tbsp chia seeds, flaxseed, or hemp hearts
- 1/2 cup fresh spinach or kale
- 1/4 rolled oats (also thickens and provides fiber/protein)
Choose a Flavor Booster
- 1 lemon or lime freshly squeezed
- 2 inch piece of fresh ginger (or 2 tsp ground powder)
- 1-2 tsp turmeric powder + 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1-2 tsp cayenne powder
- 1/4 cup fresh basil or mint
Liquid First: Pour the coconut water and fresh lime juice into your blender.
